Social and Health Care Services

The family and social work services comprise services for families with children (for example, maternity and children’s welfare clinics, family welfare clinics and child protection), adultsocial services (for example, living allowance), as well as services for the elderly and for the handicapped.
The health care services are organised locally and partially centralised and as uniform in quality as possible for all Vantaa residents.
An important part of health care is health promotion and proactive work.
Taking care of one’s own health and good life habits are an essential part of preventing illnesses.
