  • Non-urgent care—that is, appointments and phone service—will continue as usual at Länsimäki health center. If you need care by appointment, contact the health centers’ appointment number, on Mon-Fri, at 8-12, tel. 09 839 50 000.

The changes are needed to ensure the availability of urgent care as the health centers reform their operations.

Urgent care on weekdays at Länsimäki health center:

  • Go to the health center on weekdays from 8:00 to 16:00 without an advance appointment. Report for assessment of the need for care at the latest at 15:00.

Public-health nurses advise on issues related to lifestyles, diabetes, mental health, blood pressure, and cholesterol. You can make an appointment with a public-health nurse by phone or you can make an online appointment.

The deaf and the hearing impaired

Deaf and hearing-impaired Vantaa residents can make or cancel appointments by text messages. When making an appointment, a nurse may text questions clarifying the customer's situation.

  • Write your full name, identity number and reason for the appointment in the text message and send it to phone number 040 6314 345.

Do you need a vaccination?

Public-health nurses give vaccinations without appointment on Tuesdays from 8:00 to 9:00. We give the most common vaccines (tetanus D, polio, MMR) as well as basic vaccines for travelers (bring your own vaccines with you). The prescriptions for voluntary vaccines will be given by a doctor.

Note! Only Tikkurila and Myyrmäki health centers provide yellow fever vaccination and anti-malarial drugs.

Measure your blood pressure

You can measure your blood pressure yourself at the health center. The janitor will give you the measuring device.

INR sample (Marevan test)

INR samples are taken on Tuesdays from 12:00 to 14:00 without appointment (NOTE: only INR, no other samples will be taken), 1st floor.

From 19, June to 13 August, 2017 INR samples are taken on Tuesdays from 10:00 to 11:30 and from 12:00 to 14:00.
