Exceptional opening hours in the summer of 2017

Note! Starting Monday June 26th the healthcenter's phone customer service hours will be Mon-Fri at 8:00–12:00.

Health centers have limited service from June 26 to August 13, 2017. During the above-mentioned period, health centers primarily treat patients who need urgent care.

Urgent cases

Did you fall ill suddenly? Patients with no personal doctor can freely choose the day clinic where they want to go to among all the health centers in Vantaa. View the health centers’ queue situation.

Urgent care on weekdays at Myyrmäki health center:

  • Patients without a personal doctor: go to the health center on weekdays from 8:00 to 16:00 without an advance appointment.
  • Patients with a personal doctor: call your own team from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 12:00

    • In order to avoid queueing, you can leave a call-back request, which is saved after you listen to the message until the end. You can submit a call-back request from 8:00 to 10:30 and from 13:00 to 13:30. We will call you back the same day.
    • In acute cases, contact us already in the morning, while in non-urgent matters, such as inquiries about results, call us later in the day.

Urgent care in the evening, at night and over the weekend or in case of acute and severe illnesses:

Ask a public-health nurse

  • Public-health nurses' phone consultation hours are from Monday to Tuesday and from Thursday to Friday from 12:00 to 13:00

Public-health nurses advise on issues related to lifestyles, diabetes, mental health, blood pressure, and cholesterol. You can make an appointment with a public-health nurse during their phone consultation hours or you can make an online appointment.

The deaf and the hearing impaired

Deaf and hearing-impaired Vantaa residents can make or cancel appointments by text messages. When making an appointment, a nurse may text questions clarifying the customer's situation.

  • Write your full name, identity number and reason for the appointment in the text message and send the message to phone number 040 838 9945.

Rheumatism treatment

Personal doctors treat patients with rheumatism at the health center. Myyrmäki and Tikkurila health centers have rheumatism units. Personal doctors can consult the units' rheumatism specialists.

Myyrmäki rheumatism unit serves West Vantaa, while the Tikkurila unit serves Central and North Vantaa. Contact the rheumatism unit through your own health center team. A doctor's referral is required for the rheumatism unit.

Do you need a vaccination?

Vaccines are given on nurse's appointement (2nd floor)

  • Tuesdays: 14:00-15:00, no appointment required
  • Thursdays: 8:00-9:00, appointment is required

In addition, Myyrmäki health center has a vaccination reception for all Vantaa residents, which will also give you a yellow fever vaccination and a prescription for anti-malarial drugs.

Measure your blood pressure

You can measure you blood pressure at lobbies 1 and 2 on the second floor of Myyrmäki health center. In the self-care point, you can measure your blood pressure and find myriad instructions for promoting your wellbeing.
