Meetings between child and non-custodial parent
A child and his or her non-custodial parent can meet each other in Vantaa's safe and peaceful meeting places. Before the first meeting, the parties concerned shall make an appointment with the meeting place during which they will be introduced to the place. The services are free of charge for the customers.
Supervised and supported meetings and supervised exchanges
In case of a supervised meeting, the meeting between the parent and child will be constantly monitored, which means that an employee shares the premises with the parent and child or is otherwise constantly able to see and hear them.
In case of a supported meeting, an employee is available upon request. The employee is responsible for the beginning and ending of the meeting, and will monitor the situation.
A supervised exchange can be arranged when there is a restraining order on the parents, or if disputes prevent the parents from meeting one another.
Meeting places will arrange supervised and supported meetings, as well as supervised exchanges, depending on the decisions made.
