Land use, Building and Environmental Department
The Land Use, Building and Environmental Department is responsible for comprehensive development and management of the urban structure, the environment, traffic, and municipal engineering, as well as for developing and implementing the city's industrial policy, land-use policy, housing policy, environmental policy, and environmental health in accordance with the city’s strategic objectives.
The department prepares and implements issues that are the responsibilities of the City Planning Committee, the Building Permit Section and its Private Road Section, and the Environmental Committee. The department also advises and assists the city’s other organs.
The department consists of following organizational units: the City Planning Unit, Property and Housing, Public Utility Services Centre, Building Supervision, Financial and Administrative Services, and Environment Centre
