Residents can meet with the city management at residents’ forum
The residents’ forum is an ideal opportunity for you to address issues related to your residential area’s state or development. Mayor Ritva Viljanen opens the event, and in addition to her, there are several deputy mayors and experts in different fields to answer the audience’s questions. Representatives of the police and Helsinki Region Transport (HSL) are often present to answer questions about safety and public transport. Resident's forum is an event that is open for everybody, free of charge and there is no need to register in advance.
Residents’ forums are filmed and sent live on Vantaa channel where you can also watch the recording retrospectively. In other words, you can follow the discussion and ask your questions while reclining on your couch at home. If you participate on the spot, be sure to inform at the event if you do not want to be filmed.
