The job search process begins by registering as a jobseeker in the TE Services’ E-services (available in Finnish and Swedish), which you can log into with your online banking credentials. If you do not have valid online banking credentials, you can register in person at the TE Office. If you have previously been our client, you can also register by phone. The TE Services guide the clients of local government pilots on employment to the employment services of their home municipality.
If you forget to register as an unemployed jobseeker before the first day of unemployment, you can register even after the start of your unemployment or lay-off. Please note, however, that you can only receive unemployment benefit from the date of registration at the earliest.
If you are a client of the local government pilot in Vantaa and Kerava, you will be informed of it in person either by letter or through the E-services. If you register as unemployed jobseeker or make a change notification when your unemployment begins during the pilot, you will be informed through the E-services.
The TE Office will transfer your client relationship to the Vantaa and Kerava employment services if you belong to the target group of the pilot. You belong to the client base of the Vantaa and Kerava employment services if you are

- under the age of 30, or
- a jobseeker whose mother tongue is not Finnish or Swedish.

TYP is the short name for the Multi-Sectoral Joint Service Enhancing Employability.
In the TYP service, you draw up a personal multi-sectoral plan together with your personal coach. If necessary, health and social advisors and Kela are also involved in the drawing up the plan.
To become a client of TYP, you need a referral from the TE Office, municipal social services, your personal coach or Kela. You are eligible to become a client of TYP if you need multi-sectoral joint services and have received labour market subsidy due to unemployment for at least 300 days, are age 25 or older and have been unemployed for a continuous period of 12 months, or are under the age of 25 and have been unemployed for a continuous period of 6 months.
A TYP client relationship usually lasts for two years, but it can end earlier if your situation is resolved. TYP is not a voluntary service – it requires a referral.
If you are selected as a client of TYP, a TYP employee will contact you as soon as possible. We will send you a letter inviting you to a multi-sectoral meeting. Under some circumstances, we may also call, but we will send invitations to mandatory appointments by post.
If you have any questions, you can contact the Vantaa and Kerava employment services by telephone or email. In addition, you can always visit the Tikkurila or Kerava Service Point. You can also call the national TE telephone service.
