The data is announced on the list whenever it is not possible to contact all people present.

The data can be viewed for 14 days, which is The National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL’s) quarantine period.

How to act if I have been there at the time mentioned

If you have been on the spot at the time mentioned, you may have been exposed to coronavirus. You must monitor your state of health especially carefully during the 14 days following the time of exposure. Follow the general instructions for good hand and cough etiquette, for avoiding close contacts, for social distancing, and for wearing a face mask.

If you are not separately contacted, you are not officially in quarantine.

How to act if I have symptoms

If you have even mld symptoms indicative of coronavirus, stay at home and immediately go to coronavirus sampling. Even if you have just one symptom, you should go to the test.

You can make an appointment for coronavirus sampling:

  • online at: koronabotti.hus.fi or
  • calling health centers’ coronavirus helpline on weekdays at 8:00–18:00 and on weekends at 9:00–18:00, tel. 09 839 50070.

When waiting for the test result, stay at home. The instructions for going to coronavirus sampling also apply to those with mild symptoms who do not know whether they have been exposed to coronavirus or not.

Potential symptoms related to coronavirus infection consist of:

  • smell or taste disorders
  • cough, shortness of breath
  • headache
  • sniffles, nasal congestion
  • sore throat, hoarse throat
  • weakness, tiredness
  • myalgia
  • fever
  • nausea, vomiting or diarrhea
