When you call the health center

Please account for the following, when you are calling health centers' numbers. In urgent cases, please contact your health center preferably early in the morning. Health centers’ appointment number 09 839 50 00 will serve customers in all health-related matters. The service is open from 8 am to 4 pm on weekdays.

When you call the health center

  • Health centers’ appointment number 09 839 50 000 serves on weekdays from 8:00 to 16:00. You can call the number in any matter related to health. You will also get guidance and your need for care will be assessed.
  • When you call, choose language: Finnish, Swedish or English.
  • In addition, based on your matter, choose:
    1: if your matter is related to an appointment, fixed-term control, test results, medical report, renewal of prescription, or your case is not urgent
    2: if your case is acute or if your symptoms have become worse
  • You can avoid having to queue by leaving a call-back request when you hear the recorded message about the call-back service. The call-back request is only possible if you choose 1.
  • You can submit a call-back request from 8:00 to 14:00.
  • We try to reply to your call-back request as soon as possible: call-back requests regarding non-urgent cases may be postponed to the following weekdays.


  • If you wish you can stay in the queue.
  • If you do not leave a call-back request and hang up during queueing, you will lose your place in the queue. A new call is, thus, always placed last in the queue.


  • A local call charge or a mobile call charge will be applied to queueing.
  • The amount of the mobile call charge depends on the agreement you have made with your operator.
