Emergency duty

Peijas Hospital (Sairaalakatu 1, Vantaa, tel. 116 117) treats patients needing urgent care outside health centers’ opening hours as well as urgent and severe cases 24/7. Entrance from the door: Päivystyspoliknikka (Emergency Clinic).

In urgent cases outside health centers’ opening hours, Vantaa residents can go to Haartman (Haartmaninkatu 4, Helsinki), Jorvi (Turuntie 150, Espoo) or Malmi (Talvelantie 6 J, Helsinki) emergency clinics. Children and under-16-year-olds can also go to New Children's Hospital (Stenbäckinkatu 9, Helsinki) or Jorvi Hospital's Pediatric Emergency Clinic (Turuntie 150, Espoo).

Call the toll-free Medical Helpline number 116 117 before coming to an emergency clinic. Medical Helpline is available around the clock and gives health counseling also when your own health center is closed.

In life-threatening emergencies - call 112

In severe, life-threatening illnesses or accident situations, call the national emergency telephone number 112.

Emergency Dental Care

Emergency dental care is provided on Midsummer (21 - 23 June) 9 – 21 at Haartman Hospital (Haartmaninkatu 4, 00290 Helsinki, building 12). Treatment by appointment only, tel. 09 471 71110. The appointment phoneservice is open at 8:00-21:00.

Night emergency duty

The emergency department treats patients who need immediate dental care at night. On-call service at night is available at 21:00-08:00 at Töölö Hospital's Emergency Department (Töölönkatu 40, Helsinki) in connection with oral and maxillofacial surgery. Appointments and assessment of the need for care, tel. 040 621 5699.

Severe injuries

Severe dental, oral and maxillofacial injuries are treated around the clock at Töölö Hospital (Töölönkatu 40, Helsinki).
