Celebrating “Us” in Kolibrí Festivaali's 10th edition 20-26.09.2021

Kolibrí Festivaali is an interdisciplinary, multicultural, free and open art festival for the whole family, and it's celebrating its 10th edition this year.

From 20.9. to 26.9., Kolibrí will promote creativity and diversity in several workshops, concerts, performances and seminars at Caisa, Pessi, Vernissa, Vuotalo and the libraries at Sello and Tikkurila. If, at the time of the festival, recommendations restrict larger public events, Kolibrí Festivaali will happen online.

Kolibrí Festivaalin 2021 will celebrate “Us”, inspired by the book by the same name (“Nosotros"), written and illustrated by the Chilean author, Paloma Valdivia. “Us” refers to our first universe, the simplest and most important connection we build as humans. “Us” represents the lifelong relationship connecting ourselves to our ancestral origins, to Mother Earth, and to the communities we belong to. In ourselves, we celebrate the small universe that is enlarged to include a broader and more diverse community. Our focus is on cherishing and nourishing ourselves (“Us”) in order to be able to nurture the humanity of the future, in all their seedling universes.

Kolibrí is produced by Kulttuurikeskus Ninho. All activities are free of charge.
