Vantaa has already administered over 50,000 coronavirus vaccines
The age group has been expanded to cover 55–59-year-olds
The coronavirus vaccination age group has been expanded cover all 55–59-year-olds. At the moment, Vantaa has already administered over 50,000 COVID-19 vaccines. Ninety-two percent of over-70-year-olds have received at least one vaccine, while the percentage of the 65–69-year-olds amounts to 69 %. Coronavirus vaccinations in Vantaa have progressed very well - thanks are due to active residents and vaccination employees!
We are currently vaccinating:
People who have their 55th birthday this year and older (born in 1966 or earlier) as well as carers of over-70-year-olds living in the same household.
Those belonging to the risk groups due to their illness:
Risk group 1: 16–54-year-olds (born in 1967–2005, at the time of vaccination, the person to be vaccinated must be 16 years old)
Risk group 2: 18–54-year-olds (born in 1967– 2003)
Vantaa residents having their 70th birthday this year and older, as well as 16-64-year-olds belonging to a target group are, at present, vaccinated with the BioNTechPfizer Comirnaty vaccine. The BioNTechPfizer Comirnaty COVID-19 vaccine will be given as a booster shot for those under-65-year-olds who earlier received the AstraZeneca vaccine.
The AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine will be given as the first shot to 65-69-year-olds, and as the booster shot for people in the age group in question who earlier received the AstraZeneca vaccine.

Note! The appointment number will change on Tuesday, April 20, 2021: the new number is 09 5844 3030 (Mon-Fri at 8:00-16:00).
