Vantaa Art Museum in Myyrmäki
Vantaa Art Museum presents temporary domestic and international exhibitions on contemporary art. The first exhibition took place in the Myyrmäki House twenty years ago.
Kirsi Neuvonen's—developer of Finnish color graphics—exhibition "In the Bosom of Mother Nature" will open in the spring, while in the fall we will present the world of the Finnish Grand Old Man Arvo Summanen, a master of Finnish modernism. Admission free!
In addition to exhibitions, Vantaa Art Museum is responsible for maintaining the city's art collections, as well as for new art acquisitions. We began to increase the collections as early as in 1961. At the moment, our collection, which focuses on Finnish and Nordic contemporary art, consists of around 10,000 works of art, many of which are located in the city's offices and institutions. In addition, the City of Vantaa's public works of art are included in our collections.
You can familiarize yourself with Vantaa Art Museum's collections as of the Our Collection Exhibition 2014, as well as at the Näkökulma corner in connection with museum kiosk Myy.
You are warmly welcome to Vantaa Art Museum!
