Assessment of integration service needs and competence is a meeting between you and an expert. During the meeting we will discuss your education, work history, language proficiency, as well as other things that affect your integration and employment. The aim is to find the services that support your integration.

During the meeting, the following issues will be clarified together:
- Your family situation
- Your state of health affecting your ability to work
- Your education and work history
- Your reading and writing skills
- Your Finnish-language or Swedish-language skills
- Your study skills
- Your career path and your goals for the future
The aim is to find out what support and services you need to bolster your integration and employment. The meeting will give you personal guidance about services that are suitable for you. When required, you can get support for your family, too.
After the assessment, we can make an integration plan for you, if required. The plan will help you access the services that are suitable for you, language studies, and find work. The integration plan will be made together with an expert, and it must be made within three years from your first residence permit. When required, the plan will also be compiled together with the wellbeing services county and Employment Services.
