Rights and obligations of immigrant customers
Rights and obligations of jobseeker customers and integration customers outside the workforce in Vantaa's international customer services
Your rights and obligations depend on whether you are:
1) a job seeker and entitled to unemployment benefit, or alternatively
2) an integration customer outside the labor force. You may be outside the labor force, for example, because you are looking after a child at home, are retired or a caregiver, have a disability or illness, or are in Finland on the basis of international protection.
We will tell you more about your various obligations and rights as a jobseeker entitled to unemployment benefit on this page.
Rights and obligations of immigrant jobseeker customers
A jobseeker who is entitled to integration services has rights and obligations. Employment Services is obliged to tell you exactly what rights and obligations are included in the integration plan and participation in various services.
Rights and obligations of immigration customers outside workforce
An immigration customer outside the workforce has rights and obligations. Integration Services is obliged to tell you exactly what rights and obligations are included in the integration plan and participation in various services.
The right to statutory integration services begins when an integration plan has been drawn up for the customer. The plan must be drawn up within three years of receiving the first residence permit. The integration plan kick-starts the integration period, which lasts, as a general rule, a maximum of two years.
The integration period can be extended by a maximum of two years if the customer needs special measures to integrate. Such measures can be caused, for example, by the customer's work and education history, life situation, health, and illiteracy.
