Rock blasting work causing significant noise will begin on Kyytitie during week 14
NewsBlasting work will start during week 14 near Tukkukaupankuja, on the northern side of Kyytitie. This phase is expected to last approximately two weeks, after which blasting will continue eastward following a short break. The work will cause significant noise in the area.

Point library to be closed as of May 1 - the new Jumbo library will open in October
NewsPoint library, situated in Kartanonkoski, will move to Jumbo Shopping Centre and, thus, gain bigger premises.

Heavy vehicle parking area on Länsimäentie to be removed in April 2026
NewsConstruction of the Vantaa tramway is progressing in Länsimäki. As a result, the heavy vehicle parking area located on Länsimäentie, near the skate park, will be removed during April 2026.

School transport application times for the 2026–2027 school year
NewsApply for school transportation: before March 31 (students who begin grades 7-9), before April 30 (students who begin grades 1-6), before May 29 (students who have a decision on support).

Traffic routes in Virkamies will change starting 9 March
NewsThe construction of the Vantaa Light Rail is progressing in the Virkamies area. Through traffic on Toinen savu will be cut off on 9 March. Alternative vehicle routes are via Pakkalantie and Lentoasemantie.
