More than a concrete suburb – influencer cooperation brings out the best sides of Vantaa
Working with Käärijä brings out the best of Vantaa.
Jere Pöyhönen was awarded the Vantaa Medal at City Hall in June.
Käärijä, also known as Jere Pöyhönen, has tirelessly made Vantaa known across Europe, charming people with his authenticity and courage. At the beginning of the summer, Käärijä was awarded the Vantaa Medal in recognition of his work, especially for the positive reputation and international visibility of Vantaa.
It was only natural for the City of Vantaa to partner with him.
“Vantaa is much better and more diverse than its reputation would lead you to believe, and the best parts of the city deserve to be known by everyone. Influencer cooperation is an excellent way of achieving this,” says Kaisu Tolvanen, Communications and Marketing Manager at the City of Vantaa.
Even before Käärijä, influencer cooperation was carried out with influencers living or based in Vantaa. In addition to recognisable influencers, the cooperation has included authentic Vantaa residents talking about life in Vantaa. This summer, Ina Mikkola, Lauri Kaivoluoto and Sami Kuronen share with the public why Vantaa holds a special place in their hearts. The goal for this year is to promote Vantaa as a city that is better than its reputation and to highlight sustainability as a theme important to Vantaa. Vantaa is more than just a concrete suburb with train stations.
