Vantaa wants to be a carbon-neutral city where natural resources are used sparingly. As the local environmental authority, Vantaa provides environmental permits and monitors food safety.
Vantaa's Kuusijärvi
Vantaa's Kuusijärvi is a diverse nature and recreational area in Kuninkaanmäki district in Eastern Vantaa. People come to Kuusijärvi to go to the sauna, swim, hike in nature and relax all year round.
Dogs and outdoor activities
Vantaa has 25 dog parks around the city and one dog beach. Vantaa also has three ski tracks for cross-country skiing with a dog. The ski tracks are located in Hakunila, Ruskeasanta and Petikko.

The Vantaa Residents' Magazine is a publication for all residents of Vantaa, which comes out four times a year: in March, May, October and December. Read what's happening in the city! The fourth and final issue of the year, 4/2025, will be delivered to homes on December 10!
