A double degree consists of vocational qualification and matricular examinaton, but without a graduation diploma from the general upper secondary school. For matricular examination, the students have to study at least four subjects (students starting in spring 2022 need five) as …that is what the student transcript is based on.

The main institution of a student studying a double degree is a vocational school. A triple degree is also possible - it consists of a vocational qualification, a matricular examination and the full curriculum of an adult general upper secondary school.
