Vantaa's children showcased their creativity and designed the future of Vantaa in a building challenge. The challenge was part of Vantaa 2025 Influential Day, with the theme "Perfect City - Sustainable Future Vantaa". Participants built their three-dimensional city vision using Minecraft, crafting, and legos.
Over 550 children from preschoolers to 6th graders responded to the challenge. A total of 93 thought-provoking and impressive projects were collected.
Welcome to explore the Perfect City projects: the poster exhibition is open at Tikkurila and Myyrmäki Vantaa-info in May and June.
Through construction, children considered what a perfect Vantaa would be like and how sustainable living could be achieved now and in the future. Ideas will be taken into account in the preparation of the new city strategy. Vantaa received the 2024 Unicef Child-Friendly City recognition. The city pays special attention to children's participation in decision-making.
