School transport application times for the 2026–2027 school year

The school transport application for the 2025–2026 school year should be returned as follow:  

• students who begin grades 7-9: before March 31, 2026
• students who begin grades 1-6: before April 30, 2026
• students who have a decision on support: before May 29, 2026 (or as soon as you know which school the student will start in the autumn). The decision on support must specify instruction by a special needs teacher or special class teacher in a small group, or instruction by a special class teacher in a special-education class. 

Apply for school transportation through Wilma. You cannot fill in Wilma applications by a mobile app. If you need help in applying, you can go to a Vantaa Info service point in Korso, Tikkurila or Myyrmäki. Vantaa Info service point in Myyrmäki provides also multilingual service counseling. Check their contact information here. Submit your application and possible attachments by the deadline. Incomplete applications and applications submitted after the application period will be processed in the autumn. 

A new school transfer application must be completed if   

• the student's school changes
• the student's home address changes, or
• if the school transfer decision is not valid for the 2026-2027 school year.  

A new transportation application need not be completed if  

• the student has been granted school transportation for several academic years
• student's information has not changed.  

Allow notifications in the HSL-app
