City Council approved the detailed zoning plan for the new Tikkurila health and family centre

The City Council of Vantaa approved, at its meeting on 24 February, an amendment to the detailed zoning plan for a new health and family centre in Tikkurila. The health and family centre is a flagship project of the Vantaa and Kerava wellbeing services county.

A zoning plan amendment will be made for the empty plot at Kielotie 13, located in central Tikkurila next to the City Hall, to enable the construction of the new health and family centre. The plot, which will be used by the Vantaa and Kerava wellbeing services county, has a building right of 21,000 square metres of floor area, with a maximum height of seven storeys. Parking will be located in basement levels.

In addition, the meeting included discussions on council initiatives concerning civil defence shelters in Vantaa, the planning of school and daycare yards, the size of early childhood education units, swimming instruction in schools, park dining for pensioners, and recycling bins in schools.
