City Executive Board discussed local detailed plans for daycare centers in Keimola and Kivistö, and for the Petikko area

In its meeting on October 5, Vantaa City Executive Board reviewed local detailed plans for Keimola, Kivistö, and Petikko. The board also took note of the second interim financial report for 2026 and approved land-use principles supporting economic development. These principles support business investment, the development of employment areas, land allocation, and the preparation of major projects.

The city executive board decided to propose that the city council approve the amendment to Ruutulippu local detailed plan in Keimola. The amendment would make it possible to locate a daycare center in the Keimolanmäki area.

The city executive board decided to propose that the city council approve the amendment to Kivenkolo local detailed plan in Kivistö. The plan makes it possible to build a 168-place daycare center in the center of Kivistö.

The city executive board decided to place the proposed Etelä-Koivurinne local detailed plan in Petikko on public display for 30 days. The plan would enable the construction of approximately 135 homes, a daycare site, and a workplace site in Petikko.

In addition, the city executive board decided to place the proposed amendment to the Tiilipojanlenkki 4 local detailed plan in Petikko on public display. The amendment would allow the existing building to be used for specialty retail requiring large premises, as well as for sports and recreation facilities.
