Hobby grants for low-income families

The hobby support for children and youth is intended to cover the costs of paid, guided hobbies for 7–17-year-old children and young people from low-income families in Vantaa.

The goal of the support is to ensure that all children and young people have equal opportunities to participate in recreational activities, regardless of their family's financial situation.

• Hobby Support for Children and Youth

Hobby support is granted to children and young people under the age of 18 whose ability to continue or start a hobby is at risk due to the family’s difficult financial situation. The support is applied for through a local association in your area. More information about the hobby support is available on the Save the Children Finland website.

Hope ry offers low-income children (0-17 years) the opportunity to try a new hobby or start a longer-term hobby. Hope ry supports the children’s opportunity to continue their existing hobbies. More information can be found on Hope’s website. 

Tukilinja’s grants are intended for people with long-term physical or mental disability that makes it difficult to operate in everyday life. In addition to physical or sensory impairment, this limitation may be caused by a long-term illness, a mental health problem, or a neurological abnormality. The grants will be directed to private persons with disabilities living permanently in Finland. More information can be found on Tukilinja’s website.  

The Valio Akatemia® program supports the physical activity and wellbeing of children and young people. The stipend can be awarded to all children and young people under the age of 18 who engage in physical activities and who are interested in them all over Finland. You can apply for the Valio Academy’s® stipend once a year. More information is available on the Valio Akatemia® website.

Vamlas’ grants promote equal opportunities and independence of young people with disabilities in art, sports and other hobbies, studies, job opportunities, and related aids. Grants are awarded twice a year. More information is available on Vamlas Foundation's website.
