Youth Council election will be held in autumn
New members of the Vantaa Youth Council will be elected in the autumn for the two-year term 2024–2025. Young people living in Vantaa who turn 13–18 years during the election year are eligible for the election.
The Youth Council aims to protect the interests of young people and bring up important issues concerning young people to the city decision-making.
Young people living in Vantaa who turn 13–18 years during the election year are eligible to stand as candidates and vote in the Youth Council election. A maximum of 30 members are elected to the Youth Council.
Candidates can stand in the Youth Council election between 11th – 29th September. Voting takes place between 6th – 24th November. The Youth Council election will be held as a school election, so that every person who is entitled to vote and who is studying in a school or other educational institution in the City of Vantaa can vote in their own institution.
Everyone who is entitled to vote will receive a letter that contains further information on electronic voting, candidates and polling stations.
