Vantaa’s election campaign uses inauthentic characters, created by artificial intelligence, that aim to arouse the citizens’ attention and also stir up a little bafflement. We want to increase voting activity and pose the question: who do want to decide on matters relevant to you?
Vantaa tunes in to the upcoming election on the Vantaudu vaaleille tour and Nuorten vaaleilla (“Youth Election”)
The Vantaudu vaaleille tour raises awareness of both the parliamentary elections and topics important to the people of Vantaa. A total of 18 primary and secondary schools and two youth facilities in Vantaa signed up to be the organizers of the educational voting event Youth Elections in 2023.
Right to vote and voting
Voting is everybody's fundamental right. You are entitled to vote if you are 18 years old at the latest on the election day; otherwise the right to vote is election-specific.
Voting on election day
The election day for the Parliamentary Elections is Sunday, 2 April 2023. Polling stations are open from 9.00 to 20.00.
Election advertising
The Streets and Parks Service Area is responsible for the placement of election posters on advertisements stands on streets and bridges in Vantaa. The city is not responsible for other election advertising.

Postal voting from abroad
In parliamentary elections, voters living abroad can order postal voting documents from January onwards. Postal voting begins on 2 March 2023.
