Vantaa offers extensive outdoor exercise opportunities. There are 30 kilometres worth of illuminated fitness tracks around the city.

The lights are light-sensitive and they are automatically switched on when it gets dark enough. The lights are switched off around 10 p.m. During the skiing season in winter, the lights are switched on at 5:45 a.m.

In winter, the fitness tracks are used for skiing. When there are no ski tracks, you can use the fitness tracks to walk or cycle. Walking, cycling and
walking dogs in skiing areas is prohibited. Skiing areas are areas intended for classic skiing and skate skiing.
