Specialised youth work
Each of the five sub-regions of Vantaa (Tikkurila, Hakunila, Korso-Koivukylä, Aviapolis-Kivistö and West Vantaa) has its own special youth worker. Special youth workers work with young people aged 10–17 in challenging life situations.
Specialised youth workers do outreach youth work, work with individuals and groups and cooperate with schools.

Mobile youth work
Youth workers reach out to young people in places where they spend their free time. Mobile youth work promotes the well-being of young people, seeks young people who need support, helps young people with life management and directs them to the right services, if necessary.
Specialised youth workers engage in mobile youth work together with other youth workers at weekends and on holidays popular among young people, such as the New Year’s Eve, May Day and celebrations at the end of the school year.
