Sauna, gym and swimming slots

Sauna slots for special groups offer opportunities to those who cannot use public sauna facilities due to various reasons.

Gym slots for special groups

Holders of the gym membership card for special groups and veterans who cannot use the gym during normal hours due to a medical reason are entitled to use the gym during the gym slots for special groups. 

To ensure a safe and peaceful training environment, no other users are allowed at the gym during these hours. 

You must have a gym membership card for special groups, a Kela card with the R or MR ID or a stamped war veteran passport. 

Gym slots in Myyrmäki and Tikkurila 

Gym slots at the swimming halls of Myyrmäki and Tikkurila on Sundays at 9:00–11:00. 

Please note: 

  • You must arrive at the gym at 8:45–9:00. The doors are closed at other times. 

  • These slots are reserved for independent training. 

  • You can use the swimming hall’s changing rooms and showers or the separate sauna area reserved for people with reduced mobility (open at 9:00–11:00). 

  • The Myyrmäki Sports Centre gym is located on the ground floor. There is a lift. 

  • The gym at the Tikkurila Swimming Hall is located near the main entrance. There are steep ramps in front of the entrance. You can also use the more gentle ramp (located near the main entrance) to enter the separate sauna area. The door has an intercom connected to the swimming hall’s ticket office. The ticket office will open the door with an electric buzzer. 

  • There are no slots during the gym's annual downtime and exceptional opening hours. Slots can be cancelled. 

Swimming slots for special groups

Swimming slots for special groups allow you to use the swimming hall before the actual opening hours. You can use the swimming hall during these hours if you cannot swim during the normal opening hours due to medical reasons. To use the swimming hall outside the normal opening hours, you need a special swim pass. 

Veterans who have a Kela card with the R or MR ID or a stamped veteran passport can also use the swimming hall during these hours. 

Swimming slots at the swimming halls of Myyrmäki and Tikkurila on Sundays from 9 a.m. onwards. 

Please note: 

  • You must arrive at the gym at 8:45–9:00. The doors are closed at other times.  

  • You must wait until 9 to enter the pool area.   

  • You can use the swimming hall’s changing rooms and showers or the separate sauna area reserved for people with reduced mobility.  

  • The swimming halls have a pool lift. The separate sauna area has a walker and a shower wheelchair.  

  • Other user groups (e.g. swimming clubs) are also allowed to use the pool area. 

Sauna slots for special groups

You can reserve a small sauna and a changing room at the Tikkurila or Myyrmäki Swimming Hall, for example, if your assistant is of different gender than you or for other reasons requiring you to use private facilities. 

The sauna facilities are reserved at the swimming hall checkout at the price of the entrance fee. You can only reserve a new sauna slot after you have used your previous slot. 

The swimming halls also have a pool lift, walker and shower wheelchair. 

Private sauna slots

Private sauna slots offer opportunities to those who cannot use public sauna facilities due to various reasons. 

You can use the separate sauna facilities of Tikkurila and Myyrmäki Swimming Halls if you have, for example, a mobility handicap, or due to some other reason preventing you from using the public sauna facilities and changing rooms. 

You can use the separate sauna facilities at the price of the normal entrance fee. You can use the facilities during normal opening hours without reservation. The facilities have a pool lift, walker and shower wheelchair.
