A small rink in the Myyrmäki sports park.
Introduction
…duced new athletes for decades both at a national level and for professional sports outside Finland. Skating classes and coaching are organised by Etelä-Vantaan Urheilijat ry for ice hockey, Etelä-Vantaan Taitoluistelijat ry for figure skating, and Ringette Walapais ry for ringette.
There is plenty of parking space available around the ice arenas, free of charge with a parking disc.

We emphasise the responsibility of each operator and adult regarding the instructions of the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare and other authorities related to hygiene and other arrangements to prevent the spread of COVID-19. It is the responsibility of adults to ensure that children also follow the instructions.

Accessibility
The route to the main entrance
- The 3 accessible parking spaces are located outdoors over 10 m from the entrance. The width of the parking spaces is at least 3.6 m.
- The pick-up and drop-off area is located in the vicinity of the entrance, giving easy access to the pavement.
- The route to the entrance is smooth and sufficiently wide and illuminated.
The main entrance
- The entrance stands out clearly and is illuminated. There is a canopy above the entrance.
- The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly and the glass doors have contrast markings. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door is heavy or otherwise hard to open.
- The entrance has thresholds over 2 cm high.
In the facility
- The sports facilities have two floors.
- The service point has directions to the different facilities.
- The indoor walkways have at least 4 steps, with handrails on one side. The steps are marked with contrast stripes.
- The facility has a toilet marked as accessible on the entrance floor. The requirements for accessibility are not met, as the door is not easy to open and close.
Dressing room, shower room and sauna
- The dressing rooms are located on floor 1.
- Dressing rooms are also located on floor 2.
- The facility does not have an accessible dressing room. The men's/women's dressing rooms must be used instead. The door of the dressing room is heavy or otherwise hard to open and the doorway has a high threshold.
- The dressing room has sufficient room for a wheelchair and assistant. Good illumination and clear contrasts facilitate spatial perception. There are no lockers in the dressing room.
- The shower room is connected to the men's/women's dressing room. The door of the shower room opens easily manually.
- The facility does not have a sauna.
Sports facilities
- The rink of the ice stadium does not feature accessible entry.
Seating area
- The sports facility features a spectators' seating area which has stairs. The seats have been highlighted from their surroundings with contrast.
- The seating area features 4 accessible spots suitable for a wheelchair, which are located in the back row. The accessible spots provide an unobstructed view of the event.
- There is sufficient room by the accessible spots for wheelchairs to pass each other.
