Other benefits

Recipients of temporary disability pension (rehabilitation subsidy) can get a discount on swimming hall and gym fees. 

To get the discount, please send a copy of your pension decision document to our office. We will send you a voucher that entitles you to a discount on products purchased at the swimming hall. The benefit shall remain valid until the expiry of your rehabilitation subsidy. The benefit does not apply to partial rehabilitation subsidy or similar allowances. We will not save your personal data.

Recipients of the City of Vantaa’s dependent care allowance are entitled to use the swimming halls and gyms of Vantaa free of charge. The Koivukylä Senior Centre gym has separate gym slots for family carers. 

Swimming halls and swimming hall gyms 

At the swimming hall checkout, show a dependent care allowance payslip that is no more than two (2) months old and your ID to get a one-off access badge. The payslip must indicate that the recipient is a family carer and the payer is the City of Vantaa. 

Koivukylä Senior Centre gym 

You can purchase an access badge (EUR 5,50) and training time at the Vantaa Info centre in Tikkurila. To load training time, you need to show a dependent care allowance payslip that is no more than two (2) months old and prove your identity. The payslip must indicate that the recipient is a family carer and the payer is the City of Vantaa. The access badge works for three months at a time, after which you can load more training time at the checkout of the Tikkurila Swimming Hall. 

Please note that the access badge only works during the gym’s normal opening hours. The access badge does not work during the gym slots reserved for family carers (Tuesday at 10:30–12:00), when all family carers are entitled to use the gym. 

Gym slots for family carers 

This weekly gym slot are open to all family carers and their patients. The shift is on Tuesday at 10:30–12:00 pm at the Koivukylä Senior Centre gym. You do not need an access badge to use the gym. 

Please note: 

• The senior centre staff opens the gym and changing room doors for gym users.
• Record your visit in the notebook on the gym noticeboard.
• There is no gym equipment advice service.
• VThe slot is not organized on public holidays.
