The City of Vantaa was founded in 1974, which means that our city will have its 50th anniversary in 2024. Participate in the survey and submit your ideas for the jubilee year theme.
Online materials
The Vantaa City Museum has published its materials in the online Finna service as well as in the form of mobile games and online exhibitions. In addition to these, the museum also creates articles, blog posts, videos and podcasts. Most of the online materials are currently available only in Finnish.
Research
We record and study the life, history and cultural environment of Vantaa. In addition to our basic duties, we carry out contemporary documentation, recording, inventory and research projects.
Summer activities for young people and young adults
Fun activities will be organised for schoolchildren throughout the summer.
Håkansböle Manor Museum
The Håkansböle Manor Museum showcases the history of the manor and its residents. In 2026 a permanent exhibition will be opened in the main building.
Cinema, theatre and dance
Residents have the opportunity to participate in various dance, film and theatre activities in Vantaa.
Reservation of residential activity facilities
Local communities/organisations and private individuals can reserve residential activity facilities for their use.
Support for the activities of youth groups and organisations
Youth services promote the operating conditions of youth organisations and youth groups active in the city and support young people's opportunities to be active in and impact society.

The City Museum's collections are gaining new and appropriate storage facilities. Due to the move, collection services are closed.
