In upper secondary education, social worker and psychologist services are part of statutory student welfare. The services aim to support the well-being and ability to study for students. The work focuses on preventive and collective action.

In upper secondary schools in Vantaa, students are encouraged to be actively involved during lessons, within the school, and on the local and national levels as well.
The School Health Promotion study in Vantaa
The School Health Promotion study provides national follow-up data on 10-20-year-olds’ wellbeing and health.
Matriculation and school-leaving exams
The matriculation examination is an upper secondary degree that aims to strengthen transversal general competence. To obtain this degree, upper secondary schools organise matriculation examinations twice a year.
Student meals and menus
Our educational institutes serve a free of charge meal for the students. The purpose of student meals is to provide students with nutritious and tasty food that meets the nutrition recommendations.
Introduction days
During the introduction days there is an opportunity of getting to know the academies and the professions of vocational schools. 9th graders, students, caretakers and everyone who is interested in such studies have access to the facilities, teachers and the selection of study-programes.
Application as a TEPPO student
The application period is from 7h of January until 15th of March 2026. The students of the school’s 7th and 8th grades can apply.
