Metropolitan area guided nature tours offer 130 free-of-charge excursions from spring to fall
Guided nature tours of metropolitan area nature sites have again been collected in the municipalities’ joint nature-excursion calendar. The calendars informing about the year 2024 excursions are available for pickup in libraries and customer-service points as of the beginning of April.
Kalkkikallio nature reserve
The Kalkkikallio nature conservation area was protected in 2007 based on its rocky forest habitat. The area is 18.7 hectares.
Gubbmossen nature reserve
The Gubbmossen nature conservation area was protected in 2003 based on its pine bogs with large subshrub vegetation. The area is 18.5 hectares.
Sport buddies are seeking children and young people from schools to participate in recreational activities
The aim of sport buddy activities is to encourage children and young people who do not have any hobbies to participate in sports or other recreational activities of their choice.

Vantaa School League has been launched – don’t miss the basketball tournament on 13 January 2024
The Vantaa School League, launched last autumn, includes 230 third graders from across the city. In January, the teams will compete in basketball.
