Fazerintie to be rerouted from 13 October – New temporary bus stop and traffic arrangements to take effect
New temporary traffic and bus stop arrangements will be introduced on Fazerintie on 13 October as earth-cutting works begin along the street section during week 42. As a result, vehicular traffic, pedestrians, and cyclists will be directed to a temporary diversion route around the work site, and
Lemmenkuja Construction Works in the Final Stage, Detour Route Remains in Use Until the End of Week 41
Municipal infrastructure construction works on Lemmenkuja have been completed, but final finishing works will continue during week 41. Due to these works, the pedestrian and cycling connection on Lemmenkuja will remain closed until 9 October 2026.
Bus Stops on Kirkkokuja and Rajatie Relocated in Vaarala from 6.10.
Construction work in Vaarala is progressing. Preparatory works for the construction of the Kuussillantie roundabout will begin, and as a result, new locations for the Kirkkokuja and Rajatie bus stops will be introduced from 6 October.
Change to Traffic Arrangements at the Kyytitie and Hakunilantie Intersection
Traffic arrangements at the intersection of Kyytitie and Hakunilantie will be modified during Week 41. To facilitate the progress of water utility construction works, the work area will be expanded to the southern side of Kyytitie. As a result of the change, vehicle traffic will be directed to pass
Excavation works completed at Rivieranraitio
A significant milestone will be reached this week in the construction of the future tram street connection at Rivieranraittio, as the excavation works in the area are completed. A few final blasting operations will be carried out during the week, after which the excavated rock will be transported
Rare Structural Jacking Operation Beneath Dixi: The Building Was Used as a Counterweight
An exceptional construction phase is currently underway beneath Dixi. The load of the Dixi building is being transferred to new piles to make way for the future concrete tunnel. The work uses a jacking method in which the building’s own weight is used to secure the new structures.
The Vantaa light rail worksite expands to the Silvastintie intersection
Construction of the Vantaa light rail began on Osuustie in the spring. So far, the worksite on Osuustie has been located between Virkatie and Antaksentie. According to current plans, it will expand to the Silvastintie intersection during the week starting 5 October.
Construction of the Annefred light rail bridge begins – traffic arrangements also on Tuusulanväylä
Construction of the Vantaa light rail began on Tikkurilantie last Autumn. The construction site will now expand westwards, and we will begin building the Annefred light rail bridge over Tuusulanväylä on Tikkurilantie. According to the current plan, preparatory work will begin in October.
Construction Progressing as Planned at the Vaarala Depot
Earthworks at the Vaarala Depot have progressed on schedule over the summer, and the area is gradually beginning to take its final shape. Most of the rock excavation has now been completed, and work is currently focused on foundation structures, municipal infrastructure, and stormwater systems
Drilling and rock excavation works causing elevated noise levels to begin in the area between Lahdentie and Liinakkokuja
Rock drilling and rock excavation works will begin in September in the area north of Kyytitie, between Lahdentie and Liinakkokuja, due to a rock formation uncovered during construction. The works will cause noise and vibration in the surrounding area. The drilling and rock excavation works are
