In Vantaa, we work systematically to prevent and intervene in bullying. This work is guided by Vantaa's anti-bullying plan, which was updated in January 2026. The plan is used in Vantaa's primary and lower secondary schools, upper secondary education institutions and Vocational College Varia, as well as in daycare centers and other early childhood education units. Explore the updated plan and watch our video to see an example of how the plan is put into practice in the everyday life of a comprehensive school.

A newly released video shows an example of how the plan serves as a basis for preventing and tackling bullying in the daily life of a comprehensive school. The video is available on the website in seven languages: Finnish, Swedish, English, Albanian, Arabic, Somali, and Russian.
At each daycare center, comprehensive school, upper secondary educational institution and Varia's campus, concrete measures for preventing and tackling bullying have been established in accordance with Vantaa's anti-bullying plan.
Cooperation with guardians is especially valuable for us.

- Early childhood education and pre-primary education: your child’s group staff or the director of the daycare center
- Primary and lower secondary education and upper secondary education: the school’s staff or principal
- Vocational College Varia: the manager of education services of the campus.
