Introducing Vantaa to Embassies in Finland
On September 20, 2024, for the first time, Vantaa organized a “Getting to Know Vantaa” introduction event for the embassies located in Finland. The event gathered together Ambassadors and other representatives of embassies from more than 40 missions.
Mayor Pekka Timonen welcomed the guests to the event by illustrating the characteristics of growing Vantaa and the city’s future plans. Director of Economic Development, Tommo Koivusalo, presented Vantaa's versatile business life and investment opportunities, and how international experts and their families can feel at home in Vantaa with the help of Talent Vantaa services and school and study opportunities in English.
Vantaa is in many ways the most international city in Finland: the airport and the surrounding dynamic Aviapolis area, numerous international companies and a multicultural population make Vantaa a growing and attractive city. More than 10,000 companies and more than 100,000 jobs are located in Vantaa. Aviapolis is an important location in Finland for many international companies and a new growth business center.
