Influence Vantaa - Voxit discussions

• Opinions must be presented in the form of a statement.
• Each statement is about one matter. If you have two different opinions, you can make two statements. ​
• Avoid expressing your opinion in the form of a question, so that it is easier for other participants to understand what is being voted for.
• Express your idea as concretely as possible, so that other participants can understand exactly what you mean.
• Use standard language as much as possible. Avoid difficult loanwords, dialects, irony or sarcasm.
• Avoid using the characters #, ! and acronyms (such as “LOL”) in your suggestions.

• The discussions are moderated by the city’s specialists.
• All statements will be reviewed in advance, based on which they will be either approved or rejected. A statement will only become visible after it has been approved by the discussion’s moderator.
• Moderators may edit statements for clarity or change the wording to ensure readability. ​

• The discussions will be moderated on weekdays between 8:00–16:00.

• We will not publish hate speech, such as threats, mocking or racist comments, or comments that incite criminal activity. For example, incitement to ethnic or racial hatred is a crime. Do not violate the personal reputation or privacy of others.
• Do not mention individual people. The moderators will reject statements that focus on individual people or from which the person who made the statement can be identified. Statements should also not express disdain towards a political party, policymaker or religion (person, symbol or practice).
• Do not offend others. Moderators will reject all disrespectful or insulting opinions.
• Stay on topic. The moderators will reject all opinions that are unrelated to the topic and against the rules.
• Please do not advertise events, products or services, and do not engage in direct political advertising.
• We will delete statements that are similar in content to comments that have previously been submitted to the discussion.
• It must be possible to respond to published statements with “I agree”, “I disagree” or “skip”.

Parents play an irreplaceable role in building a good everyday life for children and young people. The City of Vantaa wants to be involved in supporting families’ smooth daily lives and in strengthening parenting. City services such as early childhood education, schools, educational institutions, as well as sports, youth, culture and library services, are an important part of families’ everyday lives.

What kind of support have you received in your parenting? In which services has the city succeeded? What kind of support would you have needed? What should the City of Vantaa develop or renew?

As part of the Child-Friendly Municipality work, the City of Vantaa wants to identify what kind of support guardians need for their parenting. The results of the discussion will be used when developing parenting support in the city’s services.
