Pedestrian and cycling routes on Aviabulevardi will change
The pedestrian and cycling route on Aviabulevardi will be closed during the week starting 22 June. An alternative route is available via Turbiinitie. Aviabulevardi was closed to vehicle traffic in May.

The Backaksen Kesäkeikat (“Backas Summer Gigs”) stage will be filled with children’s joy and carnival atmosphere on Tuesday, July 1, from 10:00 to 12:00, as a free-of-charge festival day for the entire family takes over the area. The day will feature energetic program, music, dance, and activities
Forests are more than individual trees - Vantaa Light Rail compensates for the harm caused by construction to nature
We use an app to track the number of individual street trees that have been cut along the light rail route. This ensures that an equivalent number of new trees can be planted as close as possible to the original locations.
The Vantaa light rail airport terminus proposal for the City Executive Board has been completed
The proposal for the terminus in the airport's core area, created by the Vantaa light rail alliance in cooperation with Finavia, has been completed. The proposed terminus is located on Terminaalitie. The Vantaa City Executive Board will address the proposal on June 8, 2026.
Vantaa light rail works to begin on Osuustie
Vantaa light rail works will begin on Osuustie. According to current plans, Osuustie will be closed to through vehicle traffic during the week starting 8 June. Alternative routes for vehicle traffic are Pakkalantie and Lentoasemantie. Pedestrian access on Osuustie will be maintained.
HSL's news: Route change for bus 570 – the bus will not serve Helsinki Airport from 15 June
The route of bus 570 will change on Monday, 15 June, due to construction work for the Vantaa light rail. The bus will no longer run to Helsinki Airport, but to a new terminus on Lustikullantie in Pakkala. Bus 600 will continue to run to the airport. You can change to the bus at the “Väinö Tannerin
Contract signed for the second partial order of the Vantaa Light Rail project
The alliance partners of the Vantaa Light Rail project signed the contract for the second partial order on May 7, 2026. The contract covers the remaining section of the rail line to be built in Vantaa, from the Finnish Aviation Museum to Länsimäentie, as well as water resources management work
