Construction of Vantaa Light Rail begins in front of Jumbo in January 2027
Construction of Vantaa Light Rail will begin in the Pakkala area around Jumbo in January 2027. The works will start first on Tasetie. Jumbo and all services in the area will remain open as usual.

According to current plans, Vantaa Light Rail works will begin on Tasetie in front of Jumbo in January 2027. At that time, vehicle traffic on Tasetie will be diverted via a detour through Jumbo’s southern parking area. Pedestrian and cycling routes will be moved to the south side of Tasetie.
In January, there will also be changes to local bus stops, and HSL will provide separate information about them.
We will provide more detailed information about the traffic arrangements in the Tasetie area in December. Access to Jumbo and to all shops and services in the area will be maintained.
Work on the underpass bridge on Tasetie will be completed in autumn 2027, and traffic is then expected to return from the detour through the parking area. Construction on Tasetie will, however, continue after this. Access routes will also remain open during this phase.
Construction will proceed in phases
After Tasetie, construction will proceed to Väinö Tannerin tie, the southern section of Osuustie and Rälssitie later in 2027. According to current plans, the Lentoasemantie intersection area will be built last, in 2028. We will provide separate information about construction in these areas.
