Bus routes in the Pakkala area will change starting from 2 March. Toinen Savu will be closed to through‑traffic. Bus 600 will be rerouted to Pakkalantie, and bus 570 to Lentoasemantie.
Through‑traffic on Ratatie will come to an end
Construction of the Vantaa Light Rail is progressing in Tikkurila. Through‑traffic on Ratatie will end on 19 January, and at that time we will begin building new bus stops. The works are related to the construction of the light rail tunnel.
The Tikkurila bus terminal is moving in February
The light rail tunnel will eventually run under the Tikkurila bus terminal, which is why the buses must move elsewhere for the duration of the construction. According to the current information, this change will take place in early February 2026.

Track interruptions were successfully completed in Tikkurila
All six tracks at Tikkurila station are once again in normal use. The track closures began in June, with each track being closed in turn. The construction of the Vantaa tram has progressed on schedule at Tikkurila station, and traffic has run smoothly without disruptions.
The oak tree in Library Park will be felled – but it will still remain in Library Park in the future
The oak tree in Library Park will be felled on December 3, as its growing site is located at the Vantaa Light Rail tunnel. Artist Antti Laitinen will take possession of the oak trunk and create an artwork from it.
Construction of the Vantaa Light Rail begins in Aviapolis this December
Work on the Vantaa Light Rail starts in Aviapolis on Dec 1. During winter, we will mainly carry out earthworks and blasting in closed areas, with no impact on airport operations. Light Rail service is planned to begin in 2029.
