Register your child as a Vantaa Culture Kid – free art experiences from infancy to school age
The City of Vantaa invites every child born in 2023 or after to become a Vantaa Culture Kid. Registered Culture Kids can access diverse and free events around Vantaa every year. There are over 150 events taking place in fall 2025, from dance theater to concerts and color workshops to musical playgroups.

Vantaa Culture Kids can participate in performances, concerts, exhibitions and workshops together with a parent, grandparent or other close adult. Events are organized at venues such as cultural premises and museums around Vantaa. The activities are intended for everyone, regardless of their mother tongue. There are also wordless, plain language and multilingual events available.
Ballet, a contemporary circus adventure and Onnin Orkesteri
Registration is currently open for the Culture Kids events of August, September and October.
In September, everyone will sing and play the song games seen in Pikku Kakkonen’s Soiva Syli series.
Vantaa Culture Kids will also have the opportunity to visit the world of opera and ballet through singing, playing and moving their bodies in the Finnish National Opera and Ballet’s Taidetuokio workshop. The Taidetuokio workshop will be accompanied by music from the ballet Romeo and Juliet, which has also been heard on the opera stage.
October offers a contemporary circus adventure. Together with Recover Laboratory, the Center for New Circus Cirko will bring their magnificent Secret Island performance to the re-opened Cultural Center Vernissa.
Children will be able to watch the Onnin Orkesteri concert from the seats of the large hall of Cultural House Martinus on October 15, 2025. Sanna Pelliccioni’s wonderful Onni books come to life through the music composed by the children’s music group.
This is how you join the activities
If your child lives in Vantaa and was born in 2023 or after, the child’s guardian can register the child as a Culture Kid.
1. Register your child as a Culture Kid.
2. We will send information about events to your e-mail. This will continue until your child turns 7 years old.
3. Book tickets for the events.
