Influence Vantaa - Voxit discussions
Voxit discussions offer a constructive and anonymous way to participate in the decision-making of the city. In October–November 2025, Voxit discussions will be used to find ways to reduce the loneliness of young people.
The views of residents on current topics relating to the city’s development will be collected through Voxit discussions.
Voxit discussion on ways to reduce loneliness
Young people, we invite you to join the Voxit discussion on ways to reduce loneliness! The discussion is particularly aimed at students in lower secondary school, upper secondary school and vocational school in Vantaa.
The discussion is open Oct. 23–Nov. 20, during which time you can present your own ideas and comment on the ideas of others. Let's work together to develop ways of reducing loneliness!
The results of the discussion will be presented to the members of Vantaa’s City Council, City Executive Board and committees, among others. In addition, the results will be presented during Movers & Shakers Day in April 2026.
Coming in January 2026: discussion on the regions’ development
In January 2026, region-specific Voxit discussions will be organized for the seven major regions of Vantaa: Myyrmäki, Kivistö, Aviapolis, Tikkurila, Hakunila, Koivukylä and Korso.
The regional discussions will be used to map out the views of residents for the development of the areas. More information on the discussions will be provided closer to the start of the discussion in January.
What is Voxit?
Voxit (formerly Polis) is an online discussion platform that offers residents a constructive and anonymous way to participate in the decision-making of the city.
The starting points for Vantaa’s Voxit discussions are initial statements made by the city, which the participants of the discussion can comment on. For each statement, participants can state whether they agree or disagree. Participants can provide the reasons for their opinion, if they wish. The statements can also be skipped.
Participants can also submit their own statements to the platform, which others can then comment on.
The discussion platform is in Finnish, Swedish and English. Statements can also be submitted in other languages, in which case they will be automatically translated into Finnish, Swedish and English.
Vantaa has received funding for the use of Voxit from Sitra.
