Changes to Traffic Arrangements on Hakunilantie Between Kyytitie and Raudikkokuja
On Monday 18 May, traffic on Hakunilantie will be redirected to the west side of the street at the shopping centre. This change will open the pedestrian and cycling route in front of the shopping centre on Hakunilantie, but it will close the pedestrian crossing points as well as the shopping centre overpass at the construction site area.
Information About the Works
After the changes to the traffic arrangements, construction of the water supply network will begin on the east side of the street, along with preparatory work for the demolition of the overpass. The bridge is estimated to be demolished in June 2026. The work phase now beginning, including the traffic arrangements, will last approximately four months. After this, construction of the light rail line will start, and vehicle traffic will be redirected to the new roadway.
Traffic Arrangements
Construction will close pedestrian and cycling crossings at the construction site area. Pedestrian and cycling routes on the east side of the street will be out of use, and movement will be directed with clear signs and traffic markings to the west side of Hakunilantie.
