Environmental Health Services are responsible for the quality control of drinking and bathing water as well as monitoring health matters related to housing and indoor air. Annual fee and activities subject to control
Businesses are charged for the control activities. From 2022, day care centres, educational institutions, social welfare institutions, public saunas, swimming pools, hotels, hostels and sports facilities are charged an annual control fee. The annual €150 fee is based on the renewed Health Protection Act.
