Transport
Parking supervision is based on the Traffic Code, according to which a driver is always responsible for adhering to rules and traffic signs. The purpose of supervision is to promote traffic safety and flexibility, as well as to guarantee parking for those transacting in the city.

The parking fine is €60 in Vantaa and €80 in downtown Tikkurila. If you get a parking fine, you must pay it within thirty (30) days of receiving it. After the due date, €14 is added to an unpaid parking fine (§17 of th
e Act on Parking Supervision 727/2011).

Submitting a claim for a revised decision concerning a parking fine

The recipient of a parking fine can submit a revised decision concerning a parking fine they deem groundless. The claim for a revised decision shall be submitted in writing within 30 days from the date of receiving notice of the decision.

On HelgaPark’s website, you can browse the photos taken in connection with the parking fine, as well as submit a claim for a revised decision concerning the parking fine. You can log in HelgaPark by entering the registration number of your vehicle and the customer number of your parking fine on HelgaPark's login page. You will find your customer number in the parking fine you received.

Submitting a claim for a revised decision does not release the person in question from their obligation to pay, nor does it prolong the deadline of the payment. If the claim for a revised decision is accepted, the city will refund the parking fine you have already paid.

Paying a parking fine

You can pay parking fines, transfer fees, and other parking supervision’s fees at Tikkurila Vantaa-info or Myyrmäki Vantaa-info.

Notify a vehicle incorrectly parked

Anybody can notify a vehicle incorrectly parked in a street managed by the city or in any other public area.

Only a representative of a landowner—such as a real-estate manager or a member of a board—can notify of a vehicle incorrectly parked on private property. If you are not a representative of the landowner, contact the real-estate manager.
