Metsähotelli Kuusijärvi accommodates almost 400 outdoor enthusiasts
A new Forest Hotel, called Metsähotelli, will rise in Kuusijärvi Nature and Recreation Area Vantaa, right next to Sipoonkorpi National Park. The hotel will be opened on the Finnish Nature Day, which is celebrated on August 31, 2024.
Hop-On Hop-Off bus to run to Sipoonkorpi National Park again this summer
This summer, Sipoonkorpi National Park will once again be easily and ecologically accessible with the Sipoonkorpi Hop-On Hop-Off bus.
Mätäoja nature reserve
The Mätäoja nature conservation area was partly protected in 2004, 2007 and 2012. In total, the size of the protected area is 29.8 hectares.
Metropolitan area guided nature tours offer 130 free-of-charge excursions from spring to fall
Guided nature tours of metropolitan area nature sites have again been collected in the municipalities’ joint nature-excursion calendar. The calendars informing about the year 2024 excursions are available for pickup in libraries and customer-service points as of the beginning of April.
Kylmäoja spruce swamp and forest
The Kylmäoja spruce swamp has been protected since 2001. In 2012, the protected area grew up to 37 hectares.
Keimola's Isosuo nature reserve
The area was protected in 2000 and 2022 based on its raised bog. The area is 42 hectares.
Tammisto nature reserve
The area was protected in 1946 based on its hardwood forest. The area is 15.3 hectares.
Pyymosa grove
The area was protected in 1994 based on its walnut grove. The area is 13.1 hectares.
Koivumäki linden grove
Koivumäki linden grove became protected in 2002. The conservation area's size is about 0.7 hectares.
