This year, too, Vantaa was classified as one of the world’s 119 leading climate cities. The list is maintained by the non-profit environmental organization CDP, which collects data on cities’ and businesses’ environmental acts.

The JHL strike will affect the services of the City of Vantaa on 22.11.2023. Most of the sports services will be closed on the strike day. The strike may also affect street maintenance, among other things.
Update 13.11.2023 Additional provisions on poultry keeping removed - No bird flu detected in Vantaa
No cases of avian influenza have been detected in Vantaa. However, poultry and pet birds should be kept indoors or in a densely netted outdoor enclosure.
Resident survey provided more information on the problems of the Pitkäjärvi catchment area
A resident survey conducted in May collected residents' experiences of flooding and eutrophication problems in the Pitkäjärvi catchment area. The information will be utilised in a project to find solutions for the area’s problems by means of natural water management.
