Introduction
Hakunila Youth Centre (Laukkarinne 4) will be temporarily closed starting Thursday, 22 January 2026
The reason for the closure is a long-term indoor air quality issue. Users of the facility have experienced symptoms, and because sufficient measures to improve indoor air quality have not been carried out, closing the premises is necessary.
The City is currently looking for replacement facilities for youth activities in Hakunila. Before we find permanent facilities, we aim to organize activities in the area through temporary arrangements. We will provide updates on replacement facilities and the continuation of activities as soon as possible on our website at https://www.vantaa.fi/fi/palveluhakemisto/toimipiste/hakunilan-nuorisotila and on Hakunila Youth Centre’s social media channels: IG and Snapchat @haksinnuta.
A potential renovation schedule for the building has not been communicated to the users of the facility.

Safer space principles
The City of Vantaa’s youth centers have adopted safer space principles. The principles have been created together with young people. We want everyone to feel that they are safe and welcome in the youth centers. The goal is that nobody be subjected to any form of discrimination, bullying, harassment, or violence. This entails, first and foremost, active measures to prevent the above and intervening in situations where the above occurs.
