Youth Council election will be held in autumn
New members of the Vantaa Youth Council will be elected in the autumn for the two-year term 2024–2025. Young people living in Vantaa who turn 13–18 years during the election year are eligible for the election.

Käärijä, who wowed the world with Cha Cha Cha, performs in Vantaa at Louhela Jam!
The City of Vantaa will host a Käärijä gig at Louhela Jam on Sunday, June 4th, 2023. In addition to Käärijä, twenty other great jam bands will perform at the event. The event is free of charge.
Vantaa will once again implement the very popular playground meals
Vantaa will once again implement the very popular playground meals. Warm meals and picnic bags will be distributed free of charge to under-18-year-old Vantaa residents in various places around the city from June 5 to July 7, on weekdays at 11:00–12:00, or for as long as food is available.

Youth work in educational institutions
Vantaa Vocational College Varia and Lumo general upper secondary education employs youth workers who act as safe adults in the schools' everyday life. Youth workers organise activities for both individuals and small groups as well as activities that reinforce the sense of community.
